This refers to the editorial "How to use experts" (June 2). Although the appointment of an "advisory board" of 10 to 12 experts is a welcome move, these advisors should also be given powers to implement their ideas. It is a known fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a doer. During the United Progressive Alliance's regime, the advice of the advisory committees was not implemented for the lack of willingness on the part of the government. There is no dearth of talent and resources in India. Hence, the advisory board should be driven by people who have a certain ethic and commitment towards the nation, besides their expertise in a particular field.
