No one doubts Big Pharma’s ability to cure all manner of ailments. But it was wonderful to read about how modern medicine is being used to cure antiques such as the famous terracotta figures in China (‘Big Pharma cures for ailing heritage’, Oct 29). The Archaeological Survey of India should get details of this work and apply it to the precious cave paintings in Ajanta and Ellora.
