This refers to the article “The business of banking” (August 19) by Jaimini Bhagwati. At present, financial crimes in banks pose a serious threat to the banking sector’s growth. It is time to seriously explore the causes of such fraudulent activities. Also, all financial institutions in the country should invest more in technology that will go a long way in protecting banking transactions.
