The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) must learn lessons from the results of the Delhi and Bihar Assembly elections - both of which it lost - if it wants to win the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha polls.
According to a report in a section of the media, a few ministers and some MLAs in the UP Assembly are interested in "floor-crossing", of course not without an offer of lucrative posts. If the BJP repeats the blunder of admitting them into its fold, party workers, who have been serving it for years, could revolt, thereby leading to the likely defeat of a number of BJP candidates in the elections. The BJP should therefore exercise utmost care while allotting tickets.
