Kanika Datta’s “Second-hand self-esteem” (September 2) is a well-balanced piece. Indians are indeed quite talented. It’s only the notorious red tape and the excruciatingly slow system that stifle the creative element. No wonder Indians perform so well when they are given a chance abroad. For things to really change, there needs to be a fundamental shift in our work culture.
By the way, Vikram Pandit attended Columbia University and not Columbia State University.
