Prithvi Haldea’s “Cold response to hot cakes” (February 10) is an amazing story of how the government got it so wrong when it came to the NTPC issue. What is even more intriguing, however, is how the merchant bankers involved failed to understand this — or is it that their advice was turned down? It is to be hoped this mistake in pricing will not be repeated.
