Letters: Finally, justice

The Andhra Pradesh High Court’s decision to stay on all proceedings, including the arrest, against Nimesh Kampani hasn’t come a day too soon. The warrant against Kampani was issued after there were defaults in payments by Nagarjuna Finance, an NBFC with whom Kampani was associated. But what is curious is that the warrants were issued against Kampani even though there were no defaults during the period in which he was associated with the company. At the time when Kampani was with the company, its payment record was impeccable. It is almost certain there was some other angle behind the arrest warrants. Though the Andhra Pradesh High Court’s judgement has been in his favour, justice delayed is justice denied. Kampani who has had to live in Dubai for several months to avoid arrest, can now finally return to his home.
