This refers to the report "Women-run PSU banks may face HR challenges" (March 3). Without adequate planning, particularly on the HR front, this project could be a non-starter. An all-women bank set up in a Tier-I city may break soon and turn into a profitable undertaking, and in a Tier-II or a Tier-III town, while the objective may be served to a large extent, the profitability may get delayed. The government's hand-holding is, therefore, necessary for a longer period initially.
