This refers to the editorial "Say yes to trade" (December 4). We must remember that free trade is one of the "gifts" of democracy. The deployment of technology leads to the conservation of natural resources. Free trade also allows us to have better awareness about quality, reliability, safety and fair wages. It also inculcates a respect for fair trade practices, and honouring commitments made at the time of sale.
