This refers to Sunil Mehta's article "Achieving social responsibility to a T" (July 29). It is an established fact that companies that have flourished and been able to create a brand value with stakeholders are the ones that took corporate social responsibility (CSR) seriously. Chief executive officers (CEOs) and other senior executives monitor the progress of CSR implementation, and news of such activities are highlighted in the company's news bulletin. The creation of shared values is as important as profitability to create a sustainable business environment. Business, ultimately, results in the development of human beings.
