Most newspapers, not just in India, are talking of ‘green shoots’ of recovery. Your newspaper’s data-pack (‘StatsGuru, April 6) cites internet jobs-search firm Naukri.com’s JobSpeak index as showing more firms are hiring. The latest JobSpeak, however, shows hiring in March has declined by 8 per cent as compared to February. Exports continue to decline and industrial production shows mixed results. Infosys has said the outlook for tech firms will be poor for the rest of the year. Are you celebrating too early?
