It is very sad that even after 60 years of independence, we have such a big gap between the people and their representatives. We read of the assets of our politicians every day and we have people like Sudipto, whose father cannot even afford to pay their hospital bills (‘Have a heart’, April 11). Politicians will only support their own people, as in the example you cited.
