Business Standard New Delhi
The Narendra Modi-led government has assumed charge in New Delhi. Everyone expects a miracle from the new government - relief from rising prices, corruption, poverty, unemployment, red tape and so on. Our country is cursed by corruption. Population growth is not stabilising. Wealthy people, industrialists and traders want minimum or no taxes; the middle-class people want a comfortable life; the poor want higher wages and affordable education and health care facilities.

Unless there is a drastic drop in both population growth and corruption, one cannot see the masses being happy with the new government.
Sudhir Keshav Bhave, Mumbai
