This is not really a vote for Obama, it is really a vote against the Republicans who are being blamed for the current economic crisis across the world, triggered by the sub-prime woes in the US. Well, history has been made in more ways than one. First, we almost saw an encore of the Great Depression, and now for the first time in the history of the United States, we have an African- American bagging the most powerful job in the world.
However, the key questions still remains, “Would Obama be able to deliver the US from its current set of woes?” If he were to take a stock of challenges that confront the US today, then he should be guided by just one objective: “Fix the economy, and everything else would follow itself automatically.”
But all said and done, the soul of Martin Luther King Jr would be delighted seeing his vision finally come true four decades after his death.
