This is in response to Mayank Varma’s letter of April 23, relating to the mass exodus of top ICICI Bank officers after the appointment of Chanda Kochhar as the new chief. It may be relevant for Business Standard to refer to the article written by Tamal Bandyopadhyay (‘The hunt for the SBI chief’, May 18) in which he denigrated the ‘lack of a succession plan’ in the State Bank of India and praised the succession plan of ICICI Bank. Bandyopadhyay may now asked to comment on the events in ICICI Bank. Perhaps a dream team exists only in someone’s dream.
