This refers to Ajai Shukla and Sonia Trikha Shukla’s article “How China lost the battle for hearts” (October 20). The writers seem to be forgetting our problems in truly integrating Kashmir within India. In fact, to my mind, these are far bigger than China’s in Tibet. One reason is that, because of the more pragmatic immigration policy followed by China, today Han Chinese outnumber the natives in Tibet. On the other hand, we have chosen not to allow such immigration in Kashmir.
