It has been reported that according to a survey by the Chinese edition of the state-run tabloid Global Times, known for its nationalistic postures, China prefers Pakistan to India as a neighbour. It comes as no surprise, as China has always treated Pakistan as its natural ally.
In fact, China is the stumbling block in according permanent seat to India in the UN Security Council. China also claims Arunachal Pradesh. A dispute between India and China over land with the border stretching up to 3,448 km has kept both the countries on unfriendly terms. China is intolerant of an India that is capable of playing an important role in global matters.
