This refers to Kanika Datta's column "Human factors" (Swot, June 5). There is no harm if someone gets pure joy and relaxation from only his or her work. They may not go somewhere or do something novel to refresh themselves. But there is a truth behind this so-called "workaholism". I had read that economist and Nobel laureate Amartya Sen can never remain focussed on a subject for more than three hours at a stretch. He needed a break in the form of a cup of coffee or listening to some music and so on. The same is true for Albert Einstein. He used to pick up either his violin or a cup of hot coffee after every three to four hours of work. I believe that our prime minister also has a similar "relaxation" technique to make sure his brain is equally active and attentive to the slightest details of any issue.
