Letters: Lessons for Air India

Image

Business Standard New Delhi

This refers to the debate “Should Air India have sacked Baldauf?” (March 9). Air India should draw lessons from Air France-KLM. With a strong network and fleet, and backed by an agile management, the airline is competently catering to passenger needs by delivering on-time flight services to Asia and North America.

Air India, on the other hand, is hobbled by a poor network, creaky fleet and fast-losing customer confidence. It’s time the airline took strong measures to improve its fleet if it wants to gain customer confidence and improve its revenue.
