The politicians who came out to support the Delhi Metro chief E Sreedharan should try some introspection. They asked Sreedharan to take his resignation back since accidents did happen in projects of this size around the world. Now that DMRC has blacklisted the design consultants and has taken action against Gammon India, it is obvious the problem is more serious than just a random accident. We must now know what the design flaw actually was and whether the other cracks being seen in other pillars can also lead to similar crashes.
