This refers to the editorial "A mixed picture" (November 25). It is true that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's strategy to improve the economy does not fully match his words. He is still in the wait-and-watch mode. That people continue to go gaga over what he says or does only shows their deep disenchantment with the United Progressive Alliance government and its policy paralysis. Voters will soon start getting disillusioned if the electoral promises are not translated into concrete actions. To cap it all, Modi's eerie silence over the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's communal agenda could also distance the middle class from him.
