The crisis triggered by the deadlock between rival camps in the BJP government in Karnataka clearly shows that the BJP has been left in the lurch not only in the state but also at the national level. It is ironic that neither Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa nor any of the party’s national leaders such as Rajnath Singh is in a position to look into the grievances of the dissidents headed by the state tourism minister G Janardhana Reddy.
Besides, BJP leaders like Sushma Swaraj are either not available or too busy with other non-party activities.
It is for the BJP leadership made a serious effort to take the party forward by resolving all the issues that have been plaguing the party for quite some time now. Only this can help the party become a suitable competitor at the national level.
