Apropos T N Ninan’s article “No longer sui generis” (June 25), the reference to the growing power of regional FMCG players against the might of HUL is not entirely correct. HUL and P&G, multinational FMCG companies with substantial India presence, continue to offer the most coveted marketing profiles on campus. If we analyse this in terms of placement days, they are both Day 0.5 companies and the only FMCG companies to fall in that bracket. Marico, Dabur and Emami are invited much later.
