This refers to your editorial "Pass the Bill" (August 7). Major legislations often suffer from non-cooperative and divergent attitudes of parties when in power or in the Opposition. When the legal framework fails to take care of such a situation, citizens and the media are obliged to rise to the occasion. The media and public should judge whether the parties are functioning in the interests of citizens or adopting a survival stance.
