It is very unfortunate that after so many meetings of the Group of Ministers, the government still has no clarity on the future of 3G auctions. With the existing players starved of spectrum, 3G offers the only way out.
More important, 3G offers the best way forward when it comes to offering broadband services to the masses. Anything that prevents that from happening will hurt the country’s economic development.
