The NCAER’s Confidence Index has some important signals for those who care to read them. While the Business Confidence Index is rising, in keeping with the rise in the IIP and economic growth in general, the Political Confidence Index has fallen — that is, those surveyed have little confidence in the ability of the government to be able to deal with the pressing issues of the day.
