The editorial “Mr Mukherjee’s homework” (May 31) correctly reminded the finance minister to work for his ministry. I hope Mr Mukherjee will focus on India’s and not West Bengal’s fiscal deficit. The finance minister needs to cut down on his trips to West Bengal on working days, or else he may become like Sharad Pawar who worked more for cricket and less for his ministries.
I hope Mr Mukherjee reads the editorial.
