Business Standard New Delhi
This refers to the report "Jaitley files Rs 10-crore defamation case against Arvind Kejriwal" (Business Standard, December 22). Filing civil and criminal defamation case against Kejriwal and certain AAP leaders came as a last straw on camel's back. This action was necessary for the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley (pictured) to put aside all sort of news/rumours. In the midst of this, Kirti Azad, the former cricketer, MP from the BJP stable, has become an eyesore for the party. The BJP party should call for explanation from Kirti and should expel him for his anti-party activities. Had it happened in Congress or any other party, the person would have been suspended. It is time the party takes note of such a public allegation. If the party keeps silent, it would amount to admission of wrong-doing.
