If the Congress Party’s manifesto wasn’t a throwback to the 1970s when all that politicians promised was free rice and free power, the BJP’s is even worse. Raising the tax exemption limit to Rs 3 lakh, waivers on agricultural loans … where do these parties think they’re taking the country? Is this the same Congress party that gave us the economic reforms of 1991 and is this the same BJP that said the Congress had simply stolen its economic policies?
