The new education bill [‘Will the Bill improve education outcomes’ (July 18)] seems to be yet another big waste of money. Both participants have pointed out that the bill focuses more on the physical buildings and not so much on the outcomes of education.
This is truly unfortunate since, as Parth J Shah says, there were proposals on teachers’ accountability in earlier drafts that have been removed in the final bill.
