This refers to the editorial "Reform resolution". Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rhetoric of "bitter medicine" has remained airy. The 12 LPG cylinders are still being doled out. The resolve of desubsidising diesel prices will be tested once the prices bounce back. The Bharatiya Janata Party government should take this as an opportunity to fulfil its promises. If it doesn't deliver on them this time, it never will. The excuses that were given for the last Budget will not hold good this time. The "bitter medicine" has to be administered now.
