Mihir S Sharma in his column “PPP nation” (Policy Rules, September 8) relies on the well-known adage, “set a thief to catch a thief,” to suggest that we set the private sector to catch the private sector. I would like to remind him that private players may follow an entirely different adage and go on to become as “thick as thieves.”
