It is not immediately clear what global leaders hope to achieve in their meetings with US President George Bush. The Democrats have the legislative majority and Barack Obama who is the President-elect is not going to participate in the meetings. So, if something out of the ordinary is decided, President Bush is not going to be able to implement it anyway.
