Little Rahul

An influential member of one of the allies of the Congress in the United Progressive Alliance government said reports that Rahul Gandhi was inexperienced might be correct, but that he was unintelligent certainly could not be accurate. He a dded that his own experience of Gandhi dated back to the days when he was just a little boy in Amethi. Rajiv Gandhi was holding some discussions and he told young Rahul to stand guard and tell him who was approaching. A little while later, the young Rahul walked into the room and said: “Shri sharma pee kay aayen hain” (Sharma has come, drunk). The name of the transport minister in those days was P K Sharma. The leader said it was many years ago, but as one grows older, his intelligence does not diminish.
