The Economist’s latest cover story on Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a harsh reality check of the state of affairs in the country. While many readers disagreed with the brickbats in the piece, some took it to be a bouquet on Modi’s achievements and took to social media even without reading the story. One such fund manager praised the cover story and tweeted how it chronicled the country’s transformation under the Prime Minister only to delete the tweet later after realising it wasn’t just praise, after all.
