Losing face

As the Bharatiya Janata Party’s anti-corruption wave led by L K Advani hit Karnataka, the face that took credit for helping the lotus bloom in the south by becoming the first BJP chief minister is prominent by its absence from the publicity material. Only BJP chief Nitin Gadkari continues to sing praises to “Yeddyurappaji”, even though the former chief minister is now behind bars on corruption charges.
