Rajya Sabha MP Arjun Sengupta was tipped to be an important member of the Cabinet but never made it eventually. It appears Sengupta is eyeing a Governor’s berth as there are six vacancies that need to be filled up.
Others in the fray are former Commerce Secretary Deepak Chatterjee and former Defence Secretary Shekhar Dutt. Whether Sengupta will be lucky this time around needs to be seen.
