Scott Bayman, everyone said, didn't talk to the press much. Certainly, his appearance and quotes in magazines and newspapers were rare enough. So it was some surprise when the President and CEO of GE India accepted an invitation to lunch.
The timing turned out to be fortuitous: Bayman had completed 10 years in India in April, making him one of the few expatriate CEOs to have stayed the course and, as crucially, experienced up close all the tumult and excitement of India's reform process.
