Mamata's fast walk

If you are working with Mamata Banerjee, you need to walk very fast — Minister of State for Railways K Muniappa seems to have learnt this last week. Last Thursday, Banerjee rushed out of her office at Railway Bhawan around 5:15pm to reach the prime minister’s office at 7, Race Course Road, for a 5:30pm meeting. Muniappa had to meet Banerjee for an urgent work and almost ran to catch her. But before he could reach Banerjee, she got inside the lift. “I should have run faster,” Muniappa was heard telling his companions.
