Mamata's 20-point quake

The quake in Sikkim seems to have shaken even West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. It needed the next day’s newspapers for people to figure out what she meant while addressing the media immediately after the quake. She started by saying, “In Sikkim, it is 20 points.” Even geological experts might have wondered how a 6.8-Richter scale quake could be 20 points. If you think it was not enough she even cited the reason for the quake. “It is all because of global alarming” (read global warming). For the people listening to her, the gaffe was almost equal to an aftershock.
