If Bharatiya Janata Party’s calculations are to be believed, the price of petrol will increase by Rs 28 if all the states across the country go to the polls simultaneously . Anurag Singh Thakur, president of the party’s youth wing, said in Raipur that the recent increase in petrol price was linked with the elections in the five states. After the election results of five states were out, petrol price went up by Rs 5 a litre, he added. At Re 1 per state, that works out to Rs 28 if all the states went for elections
