News of Mukesh Ambani's son and daughter's accession to the boards of two Reliance group firms duly received saturation coverage. Since promoters' children regularly join their own company's boards, the development attracted little comment, however. On Tuesday, former bureaucrat and Rajya Sabha member N K Singh gallantly stepped in with two approving tweets. "Akash & Isha Ambani join #RIL - inducting talented younger generation to managerial responsibilities now a globally favoured trend," he wrote and then, in case no one got the message, added another tweet: "Akash Ambani's training at @BrownUniversity & Isha's at @Yale should improve the innovation culture in our largest private corporate."
