When Infosys co-founder N R Narayana Murthy returned to the troubled IT giant as executive chairman and additional director in June last year, many eyebrows were raised at the appointment of his son, Rohan, as executive assistant. The unspoken question was whether the son was being groomed to take charge of Infosys at some point in the future. More than six months later, the curiosity has not abated and the investor community still doesn't seem to have had enough of the son. At the recent investor meet at the Infosys campus with the management, an analyst began directing questions to Rohan Murty, asking what his aspirations were and so on. This exchange may have been significant had it not been for the fact that Murty was not present at the venue, something even his father didn't know. "Oh, I thought he was here," his father said absent-mindedly.
