BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP SS Ahluwalia couldn’t sleep for two nights because his phone kept ringing. During the Lok Pal debate, a website directed its subscribers to a telephone number using a pre-recorded message on corruption. Thinking that an international number was flashing on the screen, he called back — only to hear a voice at the other end, describing how much the speaker had to pay to get an electricity switch fixed in India.

Finally, Ahluwalia managed to find out how his number had been listed by a website for advocacy and social media, and asked them to remove his number from it or else…
