Ordinary citizens are not the only ones worrying about running up a huge mobile bill when travelling abroad; even Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha is concerned and thus tries to limit calls.
Sinha, currently visiting the US, asked a Press Information Bureau official to call him only if there was something "really urgent".
The minister, who is slated to return on Thursday, visited New York and Silicon Valley among other places, and met the Indian diaspora and entrepreneurs in the telecom space.
