The middle-rung Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership is busy limiting the "damage" to the party and government by its Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy's incessant attacks on finance ministry bureaucrats.
Party office-bearers, including some of its general secretaries, have been conveying to media persons that the party does not agree with Swamy's comments, that these are his "personal" comments, and he shouldn't be making it as this reflects badly on the party and the government.
However, not one of these leaders have been willing to go on record against Swamy, lest he trains his guns on them.
