Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Gangtok, Sikkim, on Monday, to attend a conference of agriculture ministers that focussed on sustainable development, organic farming and ecotourism. The prime minister also attended a flower show and unveiled three new orchid varieties developed in Sikkim. The PM tweeted that he named two of the varieties Cymbidium Sardar and Lycaste Deendayal, after first home minister of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Deendayal Upadhyaya. Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling named the third Cymbidium Namo. Namo is an abbreviation for Narendra Modi.
