Mamata Banerjee, who returned to power in West Bengal with a record win in the Assembly elections, has decided to invite a plethora of national and regional leaders for her swearing-in ceremony slated to take place on May 27. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury are expected to be present. Perhaps, in an indication of her national ambitions, she has told party colleagues that she would visit Delhi every other month now, unlike how she dealt with the Centre during her last stint.
