There was some mirth on social media when news agency ANI tweeted a quote from its interview of Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Sambit Patra on Thursday afternoon. The young spokesperson told ANI on the issue of Rahul Gandhi's leadership skills that a "Rahul bachao andolan (save Rahul movement) is in full swing in the Congress". But many among the twitterati wondered whether Patra had become a victim of his verbosity when the young spokesperson said the Congress party should realise "a leader is born and can never be manufactured". Patra possibly meant that Narendra Modi was "born" a leader, a point on which the prime minister, who takes pains to tell the world about his humble origins, was unlikely to agree.
