The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has asked the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and its foreign missions to not serve non-vegetarian food at banquets at which the prime minister is present. The PMO had already asked MEA that no liquor be served at banquets either at Hyderabad House or at 7, Race Course Road. Liquor won't be served on Air India One, the PM's designated aircraft when he travels abroad, either. The no-liquor rule is to be applicable from Modi's forthcoming visit to Japan.
